Breathless, Otherworldly
Sunrise Above the Clouds
It was Easter week 1984. I was living in Hawaii and had flown across the ocean to come to a Healing workshop with Reg Newbon - a wonderful healer originally from England. The workshop was held on an enchanted-looking hill called Paraiso Hot Springs. It was a hill that seemed to rise very high out of nowhere - right in the midst of a flat California desert that stretched for miles and miles. The result was an other-worldy image that looked like an illustration for a fairy tale!
Even driving up that hill felt like I was enterring an alternate reality! The roadway was lined with incredbily tall Royal Palm trees that seemed to lift our spirits into the cosmos!
The entire weekend was spectacular. It was only topped by an Easter that just blew me away! When Easter Sunday came I was the first one to wake up. I could see out the wondow that the sun was just about to rise. In my nightgown, artist and dreamer that I am, I excitedly ran outside to see the sun rise from our sacred little hilltop retreat. The vision that met my eyes was totally breath-taking!
Our magical hill was surrounded by ethereal clouds! It was as if we were on an island in heaven! The peach color you see at the horizon are clouds! And I watched the SUN rise ABOVE the clouds on that Easter Sunday in 1984!That's the sun peeking from the bush to the left - rising above the clouds.
It was just amazing - leaving me breathless and in awe! I stood there in silence watching the drama of this moment - as if it were a multi-million-dollar special-effects production! A majestic, magical moment in time. The perfect closing day to a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Over that weekend I felt and "saw" the energy and the people that had called that hilltop home over the millennia. At one point we had done a very special Medicine Wheel ceremony. We sat around a circle of stones, and I closed my eyes to meditate for a few moments. As I did I clearly "saw" priests from an ancient time performing rituals on that very hill. It may have been an island then. They were wearing long robes of a soft peach color, and I knew that they were Lemurians. I was viewing ancient priests in Lemuria on that very spot, performing sacred rituals.
Reg broke the silence with his melodic British voice. "This land," he said, "has been sacred ground for millennia."
I sat there in silence, reliving what I had just seen. ...
Reg went on to explain that throughout the ages people had sensed the special quality of this land,. He said that throughout Earth changes and shifts that particular land had always been there, tho the location had changed, and sometimes it had been an island. It had usually been the home of priests of one kind or another. The majestic Royal Palm trees had been planted by missionaries in more recent times who had lived there for many years. Before that it had been sacred ground were American Indians had lived on and off.
"And long
before that," Reg went on to say, "this land had been part of Lemuria. Lemurian
priests had lived on this hill and held ceremonies
here. It's a place that has an elevated energy, and these hot springs have
a special healing quality."
I felt so fortunate to have
come to this wonderful place, and in my mind's eye
I was still reliving what I had just "seen". Reg went on to say, "The vibratory color
of this place is orange.
